Progress On 1010 W 70th (Project Brookside) Pt 2

Our crews had to pull off of this home renovation to wrap up the remodel at 424 Dartmouth.  Our crews were on this house for a grand total of three days last week but in those three days they got a lot done.  According to our head contractor the crews will make up the days they missed on this job next weekend.

This is a shot of the living room.  This house will have about 40 different paint colors.  Looks like this very attractive light blue is going to be one of them.

Progress On 424 Dartmouth Pt4 (Project Brookside)

We’re about two weeks away from the completion of the renovation at 424 Dartmouth.  I stopped by the property on Saturday after taking a look at few houses in North Kansas City.  While I was out there I met the neighbors just down the street at 416 Dartmouth who’ve been watching our renovations on the vizionkc blog.

This is a picture of the living room as you can see most of the interior paint has been completed and the new windows have been installed.  Even with the addition of the half bath this is still a large living room.

We are in our final week of renovation on 444 Dartmouth aka the longest renovation so far this year.  For those of you who have patiently waiting this projects competition rest assured your patience will be well rewarded.

This is shaping up to be one of my favorite home renovations.  Seeing this project come together has been truly amazing.   That’s a lot for me to say considering I’ve witnessed dozens of home renovations with Vizion including the amazing transformation of  James A Reed but that’s another story.

Earlier today I brought a potential investor over to this house in order to show him and his wife what it looks like when we’re halfway into a renovation.  It’s always fun to see the reaction on peoples faces who’ve never watched a remodel take place.  It’s almost like they can’t believe that in a few weeks this is going to be a beautiful home.

Exterior paint is alwasys tricky in the winter.  In order to get a good coat on the house it needs to be  about 40 degrees.  So far this week Friday was the only day they could paint.  Next week isnt looking much better 20 degrees all week.  On the plus side once the neighbors see you start painting they start to have a bit more confidence that you will actually finish the job.

The kitchen is coming along great.  As you can see the new tile floors have been installed and all the electric work has been completed.  This kitchen looks bigger everytime I see it.

Progress on 444 W Dartmouth

To the untrained eye it may look like we’ve been working on this projet for two weeks and have accomplished nothing.  Trust me progress is being made by the day.  Keep in mind Vizion hasn’t taken on a project this large since James A Reed.

Progress On Dartmouth

Things are comming along very well at 444 Dartmouth a continuation of Progress Brookside.  Keep in mind that this is one of are larger projects of the year.  From the looks of the things this property won’t be ready till the end of Janurary.  None the less progress is being made.
