Great discussion with Peter Schiff on the Glenn Beck Show.   Peter touches on Inflation, Martial Law and the Weimar Republic.

I read Peter’s first book Crash Proof earlier this year and was surprised at how acurately he predicted our current financail situation.  Major events such as the collapse of Lehman Brothers, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and even these bailouts were all predicted years ago by Peter Schiff.  PhilDeCarolis a Peter Schiff fan and youtube content producer has uploaded hundreds of Peter’s interviews some dating as far back as 2002.  It is interesting and alarming to see how people used to dismiss Peter’s comments as conspiracy theories, and crazy talk only to find his theories become reality.

So what’s next according to Peter ?

1.  If we don’t stop with the stimulus packages and bailouts our dollar will be worth less than toilet paper.

2.  The stock market will be worth one ounce of gold.

3.  We will experience hyperinflation like Zimbabwe currently has or like the Wiemar Republic

The scary thing is that many believe that things like this could never happen in America.

Last night I woke up from a dream where I was paying $10 a gallon for gasoline. I remember vividly watching the total on the gas pump reach $180 before it clicked off indicating that my gas tank was now full. I walked inside the gas station and added a pack of gum to my bill for $9 and also picked up a 20 oz. bottle of water for an additional $7. My grand total for the gas stop $196. Without a wince at the price I pulled out of my wallet a single $500 green American bill with Ronald Reagans face on the front. As I collected my change my eyes focused on the calender on the wall behind the cashier. The date was August 5th 2010.

I’m not worried about Iraq, I’m not worried about Obama becoming president, I’m worried about the dollar. What’s America going to look like when theres an additional $700 billion pumped into our financial system?

Inflation is the silent killer of a currency’s value and history shows that the common people are unaware of inflations dangers until it is to late.

I wonder if the American people will turn on the white house once they realize that the largest bailout of all time is not large enough and that the only thing it accomplished was filling our pockets and bank accounts with worthless dollars.

“It will cost more to solve this problem today than it did two weeks ago,” said Buffett, referring to when Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson’s first proposed that Congress help rescue Wall Street after Lehman Brothers went bankrupt, Merrill Lynch was sold to Bank of America, and American International Group had to be rescued.

“If we don’t get it solved next week,” added Buffett, “I may go back to delivering papers.”

Buffett: $700 billion price tag may be to low.

It seems that everyone is concered about their bank accounts these days. People ask me all the time what if my bank fails, will I get my money? The answer is yes the FDIC will insure your deposits up to $100k…but there is a twist.

What happens when the FDIC runs out of money? Thats easy. The government will just print all the money that the FDIC needs. But wont that cause inflation? Yes, and that is the twist.

Websters dictionary defines inflation as the continuing rise in the general price level usually attributed to an increase in the volume of money and credit relative to available goods and services.

My prediction on the limited amount of information available is that whatever the government comes up with be highly inflationary. Government tends to have this theory that money will solve everything so if they keep throwing money at this problem it will just go away. Sorry folks it won’t. Unless Paulson and Bernanke can pull some kind of rabbit out of their hats there is nothing else to do but wait for the market to crash. The fact that the market rallied September 18th is proof that the market is looking for any possible excuse to stop the market from falling. I even expect the market to rally on September 19th. Nobody wants to face the fact that a great depression is just around the corner. US economy is like a drowning man these most recent rallies are like his last breaths before sliding beneath the surface of the water forever.

“We’re coming together to work for an expeditious solution which is aimed right at the heart of this problem,” Paulson said.

Six months ago he said that the credit crisis was contained. Oh how things change.

On the plus side if you can buy rental property you can still make a fortune yes even during the coming depression.  People will need a place to stay and not everyone is going to be homeless.  Seriously Forget The Stock Market!!  Buy Up Rental Property!!!!  Forget Appreciation!!! Think Wealth Preservation!!! Think Cashflow!! For Crying Out Loud Just Think!!!!
